Working on Progress

The plan for this blog is to put down thoughts and maybe help clarify them, work them out. Any feedback is appreciated (with moderation).

Sometimes I need to write stuff down and it comes out like this.I'm not an authority on anything, and I will change some of my ideas, so think for yourself, otherwise I will mislead you. I will fail, because I am human.

God Bless

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

About Me

My photo
John Friesen
My name is John Friesen, very Mennonite name but my blood is half French. I come from a beef farm 4 miles away from the nearest highway. To sum me up, I am a struggler, a dreamer, a searcher. God once asked me a question and it completely changed my life. "Why are you working so hard" Somewhere along the line I gave up the driver’s seat to God and he has been asking for more ever since. I hear him calling my name, and I find the only thing I can do is follow him. That's not to say we have fights over the radio, the climate controls, speed of travel ... but I hold to my prayer that God will drag me to the final destination even if I burnt the car, broke my legs, and pull the other way. God Bless.

Disclaimer

I found something like this in a devotional I read and found it funny because it represents to me everything a corporation would say.

The views and beliefs expressed in the devotional piece prepared by me reflect my own spiritual growth journey and thoughts, and while created the interest of learning, do not necessarily represent the official institutional positions.
