Faith/Trust In?

This week at church we had a bible study of sorts and a coupling things of interest came out.

In some bibles the word for faith has been translated as trust. Who/What do you put your trust in? I think this works really well.

The other thing that came out of it is that how foolishly I can put by trust/faith in myself. Sometimes when I fear or am worried about something at work or home or life I say "well I solved yesterday's problems so I can solve today's" ie. putting trust in my abillities. This is rather foolish of me because the previous day I had put my trust/faith in God. "God I can't do this day with out you, I ask for your help, for your guidance, Help me to listen to you, help me to trust you"

Another thing that came out of the bible study for me is the answer to this series on faith.

We shouldn't put your trust

our self,
others,
our ability to comprehend or understand,
other peoples ability to comprehend or understand
Scientific communities

I believe you should only put your trust/faith in Jesus/God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
