Sometimes

Why are we so selfish sometimes?
Why do we think that life should be fair?
Why do we feel treated unfairly when we see other slack off?
Why do we feel ripped off when we work harder?

There is only one who will judge us
There is only one who paid for our mistakes
There is only one relationship greater than the rest

Dear God,

Help me do the best with what you have given me.
Help me work for you, the best I can, even when I see other not doing so.
Help me give everything to you

I love you

Maybe

Maybe we weren't given enough
So that we had to trust God

Maybe we weren't given enough
So that we learn to be humble

Maybe we weren't given enough
So that we can learn about a Divine relationship

Maybe we weren't given enough
So that we could be broken

Maybe we weren't given enough
So that we can trust God

So
thank you God for not giving me enough
thank you God for teaching me to trust you
thank you God for teaching me to be humble
thank you God for our divine relationship
thank you God for breaking me

So
help me to realize the blessing
help me to trust
help me to jump for joy at your leading

Thank you!
Help others to experience the same thing.
You are mighty
You are strong
You are my God
Thank you!

Lets go!

God looks back and calls me to catch up.

No time for resentment, no time for grudges, Lets go!!

God has stuff to do, God has things to show, God has places to go.

No room for selfish desires, no room to focus on our faults

Look at Christ, Lets go!

Oh the things to see, Oh the miracles to behold, who's to say

Let's let our disagreements be resolved, Let's let our pain be healed, Let's move this forward

Where did you go? What am I to do?

God is nea, Lets go!

Let's not forget to trust him with everything, Let's not forget to give everything to his care

Let's leave it at his feet and wait ........

....... for God to call us to catch up.

Extra-ordinary people

What if?

What if people would lay down everything?
Lay down everything as a sacrifice to God?

What if we could give up our dreams?
To the one who knows us better than ourselves.
And trying to accomplish them by our self

What if we could give up our darkest corners of our lives? Our sin?
To the one who truly know how to fix our lives.
And stop trying to fix it by our self

What if we gave up our problems?
To the fixer of problems
instead of fixing them by our self

What if we filled our lives with God?

What if we trusted God???????

Peace with our Creator!!!

I've really like what our pastor has been talking about over the past few weeks. He has preach a few weeks on the ideas of. Life from God, Life over God, Life for God, Life under God, and Life with God. He has been talking about how we relate to God (or don't relate).

I recommend you research those topics as I found some interesting stuff on the web. The basic idea is that a God that is all power full, all knowing, ever present designed us to follow him, and have a relationship with him.

He used a good analogy today and it was in response to a question he was asked. How can you have peace in death. Image you have in front of you flash cards with everything that is important to you. Memories, things, people, culture ... etc. and one by one they get taken away. Ie. you lose memories .. things ... people. What will you have left when you die ("ashes to ashes") ?

Turns out you only have what should be your hope, trust, companion God. He is everlasting by definition God.

Quotes

"... we may have a duty to rescue a drowning man and, perhaps, if we live on a dangerous coast, to learn lifesaving so as to be ready for any drowning man when he turns up ... But if anyone devoted himself to lifesaving in the sense of giving it his total attention -- so that he thought and spoke of nothing else and demanded the cessation of all other human activities until everyone had learned to swim - he would be a monomaniac. The rescue of drowning men is, then a duty worth dying for, but not worth living for. ... He who surrenders himself without reservation to the temporal claims of a nation, or a party, or a class is rendering to Caesar that which, of all things, most emphatically belongs to God: himself." C.S Lewis The Weight of Glory

What is truth?

What is truth?

Why do we play games?

Where is your light?

Where is your help in the midst of this?

I'm sure I'm crazy
Why do I see things differently?

Where is your guiding?

Oh God I am so insignificant in you vast universe.
I am a sinner
You are so holy
I feel you so near
I feel you guiding
I feel your presence, I pray other will too!
I pray you break this gridlock
I pray you free us from our chains
I pray you share you love far and wide
I pray you change our hearts
I pray we will see our dependence on you!

New International Version (NIV)
John 8

12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Matthew 11
28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

?

What stands between believers and non-believers?
What holds us back from praising and following our creator?

Where does the world lie?
What grief must God feel to see a lost creation?

Where do I fit in?
How can I possibly follow you God?
How can we possibly get along?
How can we make this humanity work?

What wonders you do amongst us?
What healing powers do you unleash each day?
How many sins are forgiven?

Why are we so focused on ourselves?
How can I see my own selfishness yet unable to change?

Where do we fit in your grand plan?
Why did you even bother to create us?

What plan do you have after death?
What wonders are in store?

My heart tugs at the unknown
My heart longs for the infinite
My heart needs you God

But I am so unworthy

God help me live for you
God help me strive for you
God help me give everything to you
God help me give even my own flaws to you

God work in our hearts
God lead us to your green pastures
God help us depend on you

God the Powerfull

Going over the Christmas story we find that God provides in so many was.

We find Mary having to make a long journey being very pregnant. We find the baby being born in an unsantary enviroment in a time when birth fiatalities were high. We find a cural king ready to kill all the babies in a town.

Through all this and many more things we find God does provide. He is there for the people who trust him and are doing his will. It may not be in big measures all the time. But it is through the many small things that God works through at a alarming rate.

God help us to trust you!
God help us to understand your way!
God help us hear from you!
God speak to us
God live through us!

The Weight of Glory

"There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors" C. S. Lewis The weight of Glory

"In some sense, as dark to the intellect as it is unendurable to the feelings, we can be both banished from the presence of Him who is present everywhere and erased from the knowledge of Him who knows all. We can be left utterly and absolutely outside - repelled, exiled, estranged, finally and unspeakably ignored. On the other had, we can be called in, welcomed, received, acknowledged. We walk every day on the razor edge between these two incredible possibilities" C. S. Lewis The weight of Glory

"21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’" NIV Matthew 7
